JENNINGS, La. — 11:00 pm update: All lanes are now open on I-10 East at Mile Marker 62 (before Jennings). Traffic congestion remains at approximately 1 mile in length.

10:50 pm update: I-10 East remains closed at Mile Maker 62 (before Jennings) due to a jackknifed tractor-trailer. Traffic congestion has reached approximately 1 mile in length. Motorists are advised to use an alternate route.
State Police say that crews are working to get the damaged vehicle removed and there is no estimated time of when the roadway will be reopened.
Troopers say that motorists are being allowed to utilize the outside shoulder of the roadway to get by, however drivers should avoid the area.
