A Lake Charles man was arrested Wednesday morning in Jennings after allegedly attacking and threatening his coworkers upon being fired.

The Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff's Office says the disturbance happened around 2:20 am on Wednesday, August 19, at a construction site on Farm Supply road.

The suspect, identified as 22-year-old Jerome Gerard McDougle, allegedly threatened other employees at the site after he was terminated from his position.

Deputies say McDougle used several weapons during the incident including a pipe, board and bolt cutters.

One employee was injured and treated by Acadian ambulance.

McDougle was arrested and booked on four counts of aggravated assault and one count of aggravated battery.
