The Jeff Davis Parish Fair has been canceled due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
The announcement was made on August 10, by fair board president Eddie Eskew.
The event was scheduled to take place from October 6 through October 10.
The Jennings Daily News says that this is the third time in 47 years that the fair has been canceled.
Eskew tells the newspaper that there are no talks to reschedule the event. "There won't be a fair until fall 2021," he said.
