UPDATE: Baldwin Police have issued a statement about the death of a 15-year-old resident of that town.
In a Facebook post, Baldwin Police say that the Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office will be investigating the child's death. But because he was reported missing from his home, Baldwin Police will be involved.
"Baldwin Police Department will be investigating reasons why the deceased juvenile was missing from his residence in Baldwin," the Facebook post states.

Earlier today, the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office issued an update on the investigation into the death of a 15-year-old Baldwin boy.
Investigators on the case have interviewed multiple individuals and collected physical evidence which is being processed. An autopsy has been performed and the results are pending as of this time.
Investigators have updated the parents of the juvenile concerning the status of the investigation and will continue to do so throughout the investigation, a release states.
