As the Christmas season comes to a close you may be wondering where to bring your live tree. KATC reached out to parishes across Acadiana to find out exactly how residents can dispose of their trees.

Some parishes have not been listed. We are waiting to hear back from those officials. Residents who are unsure of their trash pick-up times should call their local government or waste collection services.

Lafayette Parish:
Residents are asked to place their tree out with the yard waste and they will be collected and composted.

Acadia Parish:
You'll have to schedule a for pick up (337) 783-4834. Waste Management will not pick up your tree.

St. Landry Parish:
If you call Waste Connections 24 hours in advance they will send someone to pick up your tree. The number is (337) 942-4031.

Vermilion Parish:
Christmas trees will be part of regular trash collection.

Iberia Parish:
They will be picked up on bulk pickup days. You need to make note that there are different zones for each city and part of the parish. Just contact Waste Connections for more information.
