It's finally a good looking weekend forecast in Acadiana as we start the holiday weekend.
There's not a whole lot we can do about the temperatures which will still be hot (it's August after all) with highs getting in the low 90s.
Where we do get a little help though is going to be the humidity which will be a little lower as dry air filters in from the north.
This means the mornings will be slightly more comfortable and the heat index will be held in check through the afternoon.
Showers remain elusive this weekend with plenty of sunshine, and maybe a quick passing showers Sunday and Monday afternoon.
Short update here on Hurricane Dorian, while Dorian is expected to be a major Category 4 storm at landfall the impacts will stay well to our west.
Model trends continue a eastward pull which will keep it out of the Gulf and moving north once it hits Florida.
Those with interests in east Florida should closely monitor it's progress.
