A Ville Platte teenager has been indicted by a Calcasieu Parish grand jury in connection with a fatal November shooting.
A grand jury handed up an indictment of second-degree murder on Thursday against 17-year-old J'Vonte Melik Sterling of Ville Platte.
He is accused of fatally shooting 23-year-old Eddie Hardman. That shooting happened on November 24, 2019 in the parking lot of an apartment complex on Legion Street in Lake Charles. To read our story about it, click here.
