Tools for Schools visited Pine Prairie Elementary recently for a special delivery that was all fun and games.

Tools for Schools is brought to the children of Acadiana by the Jim Olivier Family of Companies.

“KATC 3 delivered us board games for our classroom. On rainy days whenever we can’t go to P.E. or recess we’ll use the board games to play," said second-grader Talon Ardoin.

“I was happy and I was happy and shocked because it was funny and fun. We’re gonna play with them on rainy days and whenever we don’t whenever we can’t have P.E. and it’s raining hard we gonna play with them and take them out," said Blaiklee Mire.

“Our class requested board games, old fashioned board games and the games that you see we are going to be able to use them on rainy days we’ll be able to use them when we can’t have P.E. and if we ever have time on a fun Friday afternoon the game boards will come out. I think the games will help them learn how to work with a partner, work with a community and be together and learn how to follow rules," said teacher DeeLynn Holden.
