The teenager wanted in connection with the shooting of a five-year-old has turned himself in, Ville Platte Police say.
Chief Neal Lartigue says that Quantavis Durgin, 17, turned himself in on Saturday. He was booked attempted second-degree murder.
Durgin was wanted for an incident that occurred on July 31, 2019. In that incident, a shot was fired into a vehicle, hitting afive-year-old boy in the leg. It happened in the 700 block of Edward K. Thomas Street in Ville Platte.
Durgin is now in the Evangeline Parish Jail in lieu of $350,000.00 bond.
