Students in Evangeline Parish head back to school on Tuesday.
KATC caught up with the superintendent, who tells us the system is expanding offerings for students, including more ways to earn college credit at LSUE and SLCC, and a culinary program at Mamou High School.
"We're excited about our curriculum and giving our students more opportunities this year, we're going to have some additional course offerings, we're expanding our technology footprint in our schools," said Darwan Lazard, Evangeline Parish Superintendent. "My goal as superintendent is to give students multiple opportunities to be successful, and we're going to continue to build upon that path."
Also this week, St. Martin students go back to school Wednesday, and Lafayette Parish students return to class on Thursday.
