Investigators with the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office are searching for a person of interest in a robbery incident that occurred last week.
Deputies say that the man, identified only as D-man, allegedly robbed the victim of cash and dragged him alongside his vehicle for a short distance. The victim was able to free himself but was injured.
The incident happened in the 100 block of Burkley Street in Ville Platte at around 9:30 pm on January 7.
The Sheriff's Office says that the victim suffered injuries to his lower back, right and left shoulder blades and left hand as a result of the incident.
Investigators are seeking assistance from the public in identifying "D-man." A photo was shared by the department in hopes that he can be identified. Investigators would like to speak with this person in regards to this incident.
Deputies say he is known to be armed.
