VILLE PLATTE, La. — The Evangeline Parish School District has announced that it is participating in the Meals-To-You Program to provide meals to students during the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.
The Meals-to-You program is a partnership between EPSD, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Louisiana Department of Education and the Baylor University Collaborative on Hunger and Poverty.
As part of the program, students will receive a box containing 10 or more meals that meet nutritional requirements. Those boxes will be delivered directly to the student's residence.
According to EPSD, students enrolled in any school in the district are eligible to participate in the program.
The enrollment period is Monday, March 30 – Sunday, April 5.
Parents can sign up by filling out an online sign-up form and submit it as soon as possible at www.MealsToyYou.org/Emergency-Meals-To-You-Application.
