EPSO: Ville Platte man arrested after runaway teen located

A runaway juvenile in Evangeline Parish has been located and a 30-year-old Ville Platte man has been arrested in connection to the case.

The Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office says that the runaway 16-year-old Trinity Rene Taylor was located on Thursday evening, January 30, 2020 at the Bayou Chicot Cabins.

Deputies say that Trinity was unharmed, and was returned to her parent’s custody.

One man has been arrested in connection in this incident. 30-year-old Phillip Freeman of Ville Platte was arrested on charges of Contributing to the Delinquency of a Juvenile and Resisting an Officer.

Details on what led to Freeman's arrest were not provided. No Bond has been set.

Family reported that 16-year-old Trinity Rene Taylor left her residence at around 2:00 pm Tuesday for work at Champagnes Quality Foods in Ville Platte. She never returned to work after taking her 5:00 pm break.
