Starting Monday morning, the Ville Platte Police Department, partnering with The Acosta Foundation in Evangeline Parish set up a drive for diapers and wipes.
The drive is meant to help those who are in short supply or struggling to buy these items because they have been laid off or are now underemployed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Those wishing to donate have the option of leaving the supplies outside of the Ville Platte Police Department building, or dropping the supplies off inside of the police department's lobby between the hours of 8 a.m. and 3 p.m Monday through Friday.
If you can not drop off the donations inside of the police department's lobby you are asked to make drop off arrangements by calling 337-831-9915.
