Someone was shooting in Ville Platte overnight Saturday, but nobody was hurt.
Police Chief Neal Lartigue says several bullets hit the Ville Platte Fire Station on East Lincoln Road, as well as a vehicle a couple hundred yards away. It happened at about 4 a.m. Saturday, he said.
Because of the damage to the vehicle, investigators don't think anyone was shooting at the fire station on purpose, the chief said.
Investigators are reviewing surveillance from cameras in the area, but if anyone has any information about the incident, Lartigue said they can provide information anonymously via the Tip Ville Platte app.
