VILLE PLATTE, La. - UPDATE: The boil water advisory for some East Side Water System customers has been rescinded, according to officials.
Water samples collected by the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals Office of Public Health have tested negative for coliform bacteria.
The water is now safe for consumption.
The areas affected were Rue De Coton, Maggie Lane and Orphan Lane.
