In Ville Platte, Jennifer Vidrine has won the mayoral race with 72 percent of the vote. Neal Lartigue will be the chief of police after getting 58 percent of the vote. The alderman will be Faye Lemoine, District A – 71 percent; Lionel Anderson, District D – 56 percent; Donald Ray Sam, District E – 60 percent; Bryant Riggs, District F – 69 percent.

In Mamou, Ricky Fontenot has won the mayoral race with 63 percent of the vote. There will be a runoff election for the chief of police with Brent Zackery – 50 percent – and Charles Perdices – 27 percent. The alderman will be Derrell Thomas, District 1 – 58 percent; Brook Chapman, District 2 – 59 percent; Charles Reed, District 3 – 59 percent.

In Chataignier, Justin Darbonne has won the mayoral race with 67 percent of the vote. The aldermen for District 2 are Carilyn Arvie with 35 percent, Debra Fontenot with 28 percent and John Brasseaux with 19 percent.

In Basile, Allen Ivory Jr. will be the chief of police with 52 percent of the vote. The alderman at large will be Catina Molitor-Heber, with 61 percent of the vote. The aldermen for District 2 are Bron Dubroc with 31 percent, Kenny Burgess with 26 percent and Kristy Miller with 25 percent.

District 12: Ellis Guillory, Sr.

District 13: Georgianna Wilson

Evangeline Parish voters also approved betting on fantasy sports in the parish, 59 percent to 41 percent.
