A dream came true for Colton Moore when he got to meet LSU football coach Ed Orgeron.
According to the Advocate, Moore is "an unlikely" LSU fan. Why? He lives in Odenville, Alabama, surrounded by Auburn fans.
But Colton, who is a spina bifida patient, loves LSU, and when his mom posted a picture on Facebook saying how much he wanted to meet the coach, it didn't take long.
We all know how quickly things can spread on social media, and this was no different. The Advocate said it took "moments" for LSU to notice.
Derek Ponamsky, who is Coach Orgeron's assistant, said he got sent the post about 1,000 times in one day.
Colton's love for the Tigers started around 2017, when the family attended an LSU v. Arkansas baseball game. Colton got to meet the players after LSU won and one gave Colton a championship shirt.
And then, one day, Colton saw Coach O on television as he spoke in a press conference, and he "just was amazed."
Moore's mother said she isn't sure why he's fascinated with Coach O. She said she'll ask him and he replies, "'I just do, Mom. I like Coach O.'"
Pomansky arranged for Colton to meet Coach O at today's LSU v. Utah State game.
Moore said her son "'went to school that day with a smile they said they could not wipe off his face.'"
A friend arranged a fundraiser to pay for the cost of the trip for Colton and his family. Moore said the response has blown her away.
Moore got to finally meet Coach O on Friday. LSU Football posted several pictures of the meeting.
