A release from the USPS says that all Louisiana Post Offices resumed to normal operations on Saturday, February 20, 2021.

Operations were temporarily suspended due to recent winter ice and snowstorms.

The U.S. Postal Service apologizes for any inconvenience this temporary suspension may have caused our customers. We appreciate the patience of our customers during this time, the release states.

USPS Service Alerts provide information to consumers, small businesses and business mailers about postal facility service disruptions due to weather-related and other natural disasters or events. Updated information is available at https://about.usps.com/newsroom/service-alerts/[about.usps.com].

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations, the release states.
