Two juveniles are still at large after escaping from the Acadiana Center for Youth in Avoyelles Parish on Sunday night.
Seven juveniles escaped the facility after overpowering a guard and climbing over a fence. The two juveniles are from the Lafayette and Jennings area.
The Center for Youth says that they cannot release the names of the escapees to the public and that identifying information has been given to police.
Police say they are also looking for a vehicle the two who remain on the run may be driving. They say a vehicle was stolen around the same time in the area. It's described as a brown 2010 Lincoln MKS with the license plate number DV40735.
The center opened in March 2019. This is the second escape at the facility in nearly two months.
