Three from Acadiana arrested in connection with Terrebonne double homicide

Terrebonne Parish Sheriff Tim Soignet has announced that three suspects have been arrested in connection with a double homicide in Montegut on January 13.

35-year-old Beaux Cormier of Kaplan, 25-year-old Andrew Eskine of Carencro, and 22-year-old Dalvin Wilson from Rayne are currently in custody in the homicide. All three are facing two counts of First Degree Murder.

The arrests are in connection to a January 13 double homicide in Montegut where two women were shot and killed.

In a release on January 14, Sheriff Soignet identified the vitcims as 37-year-old Hope Nettleton of Montegut and 34-year-old Brittany Cormier of Montegut. The women were found shot inside a home and pronounced dead at the scene.

Soignet said the three suspects will be brought to Terrebonne Parish and booked into the Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex.

The investigation is ongoing, and the sheriff's office will hold a news conference in the coming days to release additional information.
