State offices in three Louisiana parishes will be closed on Wednesday, September 16, in the aftermath of Hurricane Laura.

The parishes that will be closed are Beauregard, Calcasieu and Cameron.

The state says that all agency heads are responsible for determining those essential personnel who should remain on duty, report for duty or those who should report to alternate work sites as necessary.

Officials will continue to monitor conditions throughout the state, and make updates to the closure announcement if needed.

This office closure applies to all nonessential employees, including those authorized to work from home due to COVID-19.

On Tuesday, September 15, state offices in 12 parishes were closed due to possible impacts from Hurricane Sally.
