Here are the most recent updates for utility outages in Acadiana in the wake of Hurricane Delta. We will update this story as we receive more information from area utility companies.
https://poweroutage.us/area/state/louisiana provides an estimated look at power outages across the state.
COX
From October 14: "“In Acadiana, we are making significant progress with restoring the majority of Cox services. We anticipate most of our major network repairs will be complete by Sunday, and any hard-hit areas where power is still being restored, within days of that. Cox technicians from across the region are restoring miles of cable and hundreds of connections to homes each day. Often this work involves repairing utility poles, network equipment and cable lines damaged by fallen trees or other storm debris. Even though customers may have power in their home, our equipment could be attached to a pole that is currently without power, which would prevent some customers with power from receiving a Cox signal. Although we don’t have an exact date on when all electricity and services will be restored, our technicians are working around the clock, and we expect most customers to be restored within 24 – 48 hours after electricity is restored in your area.”
LAFAYETTE UTILITIES SYSTEM
As of 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 13, LUS says that all power has been restored to all customers affected by Hurricane Delta whose homes can safely have power restored. All that remains are customers with damaged structures who will need an inspection to get reconnected.
Hurricane Delta left a path of extensive damage throughout Louisiana and left 50,000 LUS customers without power.
As a safety reminder, line crews and tree trimming crews will be working in your neighborhoods and in roadways, so please keep a safe distance for your safety and theirs.
To report an outage, call (337) 291-9200 or if you see a downed power line or equipment, call (337) 291-5700.
LUS does not have an outage map on its website, as other companies do. However, they apparently do have the technology, because this snapshot was posted on the company's Facebook page Saturday:

ENTERGY
As of 9 a.m. Wednesday, crews have successfully restored power to over 300,000 customers who lost service following Hurricane Delta, which at its peak caused more than 320,000 outages for Entergy Louisiana customers.
Crews brought power back on to 96% of customers in just four days of restoration after the storm impacted southwest Louisiana.
Restoration teams are now honing in on the hardest-hit areas, where the vast majority of customers who can safely accept power are expected to be back on by Thursday. For a detailed community breakdown see below.
As the assessment process nears completion, our scouts have found damage to 971 poles, 356 transformers and 2,408 spans of wire.
As we continue to restore power, we want to ensure customers can accept power when it becomes available. Check for damage to the electrical equipment attached to your home or business and contact an electrician to make any needed repairs. For information on your home’s electrical equipment, visit our Storm Center site. If damage has been repaired by a qualified electrician, call 1-800-ENTERGY to generate a service-reconnection work order.
