The City of New Orleans has approved the demolition of three buildings near the collapsed Hard Rock Hotel.
Fire Chief Tim McConnell says those buildings need to come down so cranes can be put in place to demolish the hotel. He hopes to have equipment onsite within a week, reports WBRZ.
The Hard Rock has remained standing since that partial collapse back in October.
McConnell added that the bodies of the two workers inside the Hard Rock should be removed by July.
