Louisiana Cajun Navy assisting in recovery efforts

Posted
and last updated

The Louisiana Cajun Navy is stepping in to help areas impacted by Hurricane Laura, specifically Lake Charles.

The group has brought food, water, and other supplies and are stationed in Cowboy's parking lot.

Volunteers say they're here to help as long as there is a need.

"The most wonderful thing that happens out of a storm, if you can think that, is that everyone starts working together," said Clyde Cain. "It doesn't matter what's going on in the world. Everybody stops and they do just exactly what we are created to do and that's helping one another."
