The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival has announced their lineup for this year's event.
On Thursday January 16, 2020 the festival released a video and poster highlighting the performers who will be attending this year's festival on April 23 through May 3, 2020.
Some of the featured acts include Lizzo, Stevie Nicks, Norah Jones, Big Freedia, and The Who.
Organizers say that Jazz Fest annually celebrates the unique culture and heritage of New Orleans and Louisiana, alongside unforgettable performances by nationally and internationally renowned guest artists.
There are 14 stages and over 650 bands performing. Almost half a million fans annually flock to the Fair Grounds Race Course for the eight-day event, which has been called America’s best festival, according to organizers.
Local acts from Acadiana include Chubby Carrier & the Bayou Swamp Band, BeauSoleil avec Michael Doucet, Givers, Zachary Richard, Terrance Simien & the Zydeco Experience, Lil’ Nathan & the Zydeco Big Timers, Dwayne Dopsie and the Zydeco Hellraisers, Lost Bayou Ramblers, Jo-El Sonnier & Friends, Curley Taylor & Zydeco Trouble and more.

According to Jazz Fest, tickets go on sale to the general public Thursday at 12:00 p.m. through www.nojazzfest.com. New ticketing options are available for Jazz Fest 2020, including 4-day weekend passes.
Single-day general admission tickets can also be purchased in-person at the Smoothie King Center Box Office starting on Tuesday, January 21. Children’s tickets (ages 2 - 10) are still only $5 and are available at the gate only.
The “Locals Thursday” tradition will continue on both April 23 and April 30 when Louisiana residents who present valid identification at the gate can purchase up to two admissions for $50 each. Additional details are available at the Festival website. All of the Festival’s popular VIP packages are on sale now while very limited supplies last.
