An online fundraiser for a Louisiana woman who has gone viral on social media after she used a spray adhesive to tame her hair has raised more than $16,000.

User Tessica Brown from Chalmette apparently ran out of a hair product called "Got2B Glued" and thought that Gorilla Glue spray adhesive would be a good substitute.

She posted updates on her social media accounts that have since received a lot of attention. Sunday, it appeared Brown had sought medical attention at a local hospital.

The GoFundMe, which has no description except "......," had a goal of $1,500 and was organized by Brown. It's listed under medical, illness & healing. Since it was created two days ago, it's raised $16,315 and has been shared more than 34,000 times.

Many comments were sympathetic to Brown's problem. One contributer said, "We all make errors in judgment sometimes," and another stated, "We all make mistakes. Let's not beat her up."

Gorilla Glue released a statement on the incident Monday night. Read that here.
