Cajun Navy documentary set to air on Discovery channel

On Tuesday, The Cajun Navy will be featured on the Discovery Channel in a documentary spotlighting the volunteers who make up the organization.

The film which is titled, "Cajun Navy" will follow the men and women who make up the groups who volunteer during hurricanes and other natural disasters.

Discovery says the documentary will feature stories of individuals who rescued people during Hurricanes Katrina, Harvey and Michael.

"A brave group of volunteers, known as the Cajun Navy, have continually put their own lives on the line to rescue thousands of hurricane survivors in the US," A post on Discovery's Facebook page reads.

The documentary will air at 9:00 pm CST on The Discovery Channel on July 23, 2019.
