The East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office is searching for a stolen vehicle with the owner's dog inside.

Deputies say the vehicle was stolen from a store on the corner of Antioch and Tiger Bend Road on Sunday morning near Baton Rouge.

The owner of the vehicle says he left his vehicle running and unlocked to enter the store when a woman jumped in the truck and began to drive away. The owner attempted to stop the woman as she pulled away and was injured in the process. He is currently in the hospital, according to deputies.

Deputies say that the dog left in the vehicle is a Labrador/ Weimaraner mix.

The vehicle is described as a 2009 black Toyota Tacoma with a hard bed cover, a sticker shaped bone that reads "Camp Bow Wow" and the Louisiana license plate number X309223.

Deputies are looking for a white female between 5'4" to 5'7" with blonde hair shaved on both sides of her head and a ponytail on top. The woman, according to deputies, has sores covering her face and body.
