Laine Hardy, a Louisiana boy who got a golden ticket two years in a row, has just won American Idol.

Here’s the original story:

For the first time in American Idol history, a live vote of viewers will determine the winner of American Idol.

Louisiana’s own Laine Hardy is one of the three finalists.

The three-hour finale airs tonight on KATC TV3 at 7 p.m.

One of the top three finalists will be going home during the show; voting lasts until the last commercial break so it’s best to vote early.

There are three ways to vote. You can vote online at AmericanIdol.com/vote, in the American Idol app or via text. You have to be at least 13 years old and located in the U.S., Puerto Rico or the Virgin Islands to vote on ABC.com or in the American Idol app.

For text message voting, simply text the number of the contestant you would like to vote for to “21523”.

Laine Hardy: text “1” to 21523
Madison VanDenburg: text “8” to 21523
Alejandro Aranda: text “11” to 21523
