Thibodaux Police have arrested three men who ran from a car that crashed into a telephone pole in the Police Department’s parking lot.

On Monday, a car had a tire blow out, and it crashed into a pole near the north entrance of the police department, a spokesman said. The pole had a surveillance camera attached to it. The three people in the vehicle ran away, but were caught nearby, the spokesman said.

Three Thibodaux men were arrested:

  • Carmicheal Anderson, 20, booked with obstruction of justice.
  • Kinwyan Coler, 24, booked with possession of marijuana, possession of meth, hit and run driving, no driver’s license, no registration, and on a child support warrant.
  • Landon Johnson, 21, booked with possession of MDMA.

Officers allege that while fleeing, Anderson disposed of a pill bottle in a nearby trash can, which was found to contain suspected methamphetamine and suspected synthetic cannabinoid. The investigation revealed that  Anderson allegedly gave Coler the suspected narcotics at the time of the crash, with instructions for Anderson to dispose of the pill bottle in the trash.

Johnson was found to be in possession of suspected MDMA and a large sum of cash on his person. The suspected MDMA and U.S. Currency was seized, the spokesman said.
