Deputies were called to a hospital on Saturday after a patient was admitted with first, second and third-degree burns over a quarter of his body, a spokesman said.
The Emergency Room doctor told deputies the patient probably had been burned by a hot liquid. After an investigation, deputies obtained a warrant for Casson, who was booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Center. He also was booked on an outstanding Contempt of Court warrant.
No bond has been set as of this afternoon.
