Bossier City officer booked on charges of animal sexual abuse

A Bossier City police officer has turned himself in after an investigation found he allegedly had sex with and filmed sexual encounters with an animal.

38-year-old Terry Yetman of Bossier City was arrested on Tuesday on several charges of animal sexual abuse.

An investigation into the alleged abuse began in August 2018. During the investigation, detectives with the Louisiana State Police Special Victim’s Unit obtained a search warrant for electronic devices belonging to Yetman who is a Bossier City Police Officer.

Troopers say that a search of the devices uncovered pornography involving sexual acts with an animal. Yetman surrendered to detectives upon learning that warrants had been issued for his arrest. He was booked on 20 counts sexual abuse of animals by performing sexual acts with an animal and 20 counts of sexual abuse of animals by filming sexual acts with an animal

Yetman was booked into the Bossier Max Correctional Center. Bond has been set at $ 350,000.

An investigation is ongoing. Troopers say additional charges possible.
