The Louisiana State Fire Marshal’s Office says it will assist in the investigation of an early morning fire at a Baptist Church in Bossier City.
The fire, according to KTBS, began around 5:40 Monday morning at the Bossier Baptist Church and lasted for around an hour. Firefighters from Bossier and Shreveport were on scene working to put out the flames. Bossier Police spokesperson Traci Landry says that the church’s old sanctuary was damaged in the fire. A newer sanctuary was able to be salvaged.
Bossier Police are investigating with the help of the State Fire Marshal deputies.
No injuries were reported.
