Lake Charles man arrested, accused of shooting at vehicle, high speed chase

A Lake Charles man was arrested Saturday in connection with a high-speed chase and shooting in Vernon Parish.

Oakdale Police say that on September 15, 2018, at 5:38 a.m., officers responded to a call of a Blue Ford 150 allegedly chasing and shooting at two females in a Maroon Jeep in Glenmora.

The victims pulled into the Exxon Station in Oakdale and the Blue F150 was spotted by an officer traveling southbound on US Hwy 165.

The suspect allegedly refused to stop and both officers gave chase. The chase according to police reached speeds in excess of 90mph. The chase ended near Oberlin.

The driver identified as Patrick Anderson of Lake Charles was arrested on a charge of aggravated flight from an officer and booked into the Oakdale City Jail.

An investigation is ongoing and charges are pending from Glenmora Police Department.
