A daycare worker in DeRidder has been arrested following a complaint of alleged neglect and abuse of a 3-year-old.
DeRidder Police say 23-year-old Kelsey B Dease of Anacoco turned herself in on August 20, 2018, in connection to the allegations.
A complaint which was filed August 1, 2018, alleged that in July Dease neglected and abused a 3-year-old child at a DeRidder daycare.
Police officers and the Department of Children and Family Services investigated the allegations and from the evidence presented a warrant was issued for Dease’s arrest.
She is being held in the Beauregard Parish Sheriff’s Office Jail on a cruelty to juveniles charge. Dease’s bond was set at $5,000.
