A woman’s body was recovered from Lake Pontchartrain Tuesday evening, according to the Advocate.
This recovery comes two days after Baton Rouge native Sadie Thibodeaux went missing on the lake.
Thibodeaux went missing on Sunday. Police initially stated that they were investigating this incident as a homicide. They have since clarified that the investigation is not considered a homicide and that this is standard procedure for any kind of missing person investigation.
There is currently no evidence to suggest that the disappearance is connected to any foul play.
Police could not confirm if the body found was Thibodeaux’s, according to the paper.
