A juvenile has been arrested in Hackberry on a charge of terrorizing.
Cameron Parish Sheriff's Office received a call around 2:30 on Wednesday afternoon in relation to a possible verbal threat at Hackberry High School.
According to police, Hackberry High's School Resource Officer was on campus and immediately assured that all students and employees were safe and found there to be no weapons involved.
Deputies arrived at 2:39 p.m., and after an investigation, a 15-year-old was arrested on a charge of terrorizing.
According to witnesses, the juvenile stated "I should shoot up this school."
There were no weapons seen by the witnesses. The juvenile's locker and backpack were searched by deputies and no weapons were found.
The preliminary investigation is complete at this time.
