Screenings for COVID-19 are continuing on Friday, March 20 at the Cajundome in Lafayette.

Those screenings will start up at 9:00 am but officials say the hours are different than previous days.

Individuals recommended to be screened for the coronavirus can head to the Cajundome from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.

LCG says the hours have changed because the majority of people who want to be screened arrived on site with in the first two hours on Wednesday and Thursday.

Over the last two days, nearly 200 people have been told to self-quarantine after being screened at the Cajundome.

107 people were tested for COVID-19 on Thursday.

Public health officials say those tests should come back in the next seven to ten days.

City-Parish officials ask that individuals call 311 to get pre-screened before heading to the Cajundome. The call center is open 24 hours a day.

Health officials urge people to get screened only if they are showing symptoms or are part of the high-risk group and are showing symptoms.

For all other questions about the coronavirus, call 211.
