Acadiana schools now participating in Meals-To-You Program

Parents of Acadiana students must sign up by April 1 to participate.

Several Acadiana school districts are now participating in the Meals-To-You program to provide meals to students during the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.

The program is a partnership between the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Louisiana Department of Education and the Baylor University Collaborative on Hunger and Poverty.

As part of the program, students will receive a box containing 10 or more meals that meet nutritional requirements.

Those boxes will be delivered directly to the student's residence.

Acadiana school districts participating in the program are:

  • Lafayette Parish School System
  • St. Martin Parish School Board
  • St. Mary Parish School Board

The deadline to register is Wednesday, April 1, 2020.

To apply, parents and/or care takers MUST opt-in to participate in the FREE service by completing the online registration form at www.MealsToYou.org.

Acadia Parish also is partipating in the Meals to You program, but you must apply via the school system's website. The deadline is 5 p.m. on Wednesday.
