A Lake Charles woman has been identified as the victim of last week's fatal pedestrian crash on LA Hwy 14 in Calcasieu Parish.
State Police say 34-year-old Alaina Michelle Ryman of Lake Charles was struck and killed on November 11.
The crash took place on LA Hwy 14 just west of Corbina Road.
Troopers say that at the time of the crash Ryman was walking in the middle of the westbound lane of LA 14 when a vehicle, also traveling west, struck her.
Ryman suffered life-threatening injuries as a result of the crash and was transported to an area hospital where she later succumbed to those injuries.
The driver of the vehicle was properly restrained and was not injured.
Toxicology samples were taken from the driver and Ryman and submitted for analysis.
