A Turner Industries Group employee has died following a workplace incident at the Citgo refinery in Sulphur.
We've received a statement from Turner Vice President and General Counsel, John H. Fenner:
Turner Industries Group, LLC confirms that on March 9, 2020, an employee was fatally injured at the Citgo facility in Sulphur, La. Turner is coordinating with OSHA and facility management in investigating the incident. Turner asks for thoughts and prayers for its employee and his family at this difficult time.
The Calcasieu Parish Coroner’s Office told KPLC that the employee was transported to a local hospital after the incident where they later died.
