Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's deputies arrested a 12-year-old Sunday.
The boy is accused of making threats at his school, Moss Bluff Middle School, on Friday, a spokesman said.
Several students told detectives they heard the boy making threats, so detectives talked to him, the spokesman said. When detectives spoke with the boy admitted saying that he was going to be the next school shooter to other kids at lunch.
The boy was arrested and booked into the Juvenile Detention Center with terrorizing.
CPSO Detective Larry Cormier is the lead investigator on the case.
