Beginning next week, the Calcasieu Parish School Board plans to reopen a second round of schools to faculty, staff, and students. These schools will reopen to faculty and staff on Monday, October 5, while students will return on Thursday, October 8. We will be following our 7th-12th grade Blue/Gold schedule that was previously established, meaning Thursday is the first day for our gold schedule, and the following Monday will be the first day for our blue schedule.
If any student is unable to return in a face-to-face environment, they can check in with their assigned teacher and continue with virtual learning already in progress. This list is subject to change depending on power restoration and other assessment factors that may unexpectedly occur.

Frasch Elementary School
Iowa High School
Lake Charles Boston Academy
Ralph Wilson Elementary School
S.P. Arnett Middle School
T.S. Cooley Elementary School
Vinton High School
College Street T&I and John F. Kennedy Early Childhood Center will also be opening to faculty and staff on Monday, October 5. Staff will be in contact with families directly on when students will return.
Check their FAQ document as new information is being added often. The district hopes to release information regarding additional school openings next week.
