Second Harvest Food Bank setting up relief center in Lake Charles for hurricane victims

This weekend, Second Harvest Food Bank will be distributing food and supplies in Lake Charles for those affected by Hurricane Laura.

Second Harvest Food Bank partnered with United Way of Southwest Louisiana, CGI Federal of Lafayette, and Rouses Market to operate a relief center this weekend.

Organizers of the center say that staff and volunteers will distribute food/supplies that was collected in Acadiana to those in need both September 12th and 13th, between 10:00 AM-6:00 PM.

Second Harvest is also continuing to collect food and supplies at 215 E Pinhook, Lafayette, La.

Anyone needing food assistance, both year-round and during a time of emergency, should call 337-232-HELP in Lafayette, or 2-1-1 in other areas.
