The Louisiana Department of Health says it is looking into reports of illnesses following an event at L'Auberge Casino in Lake Charles.

According to KPLC, viewers called in dozens of reports of a flu-like symptoms following a Mardi Gras ball over the weekend.

The LDH provided a statement to KPLC saying that they are in the process of conducting an investigation and will "proceed in a manner to protect the public's health."

The Louisiana Department of Health is aware of reported illnesses among visitors to L'Auberge Casino in Lake Charles and are in the process of conducting an investigation. In the event that there is a further threat to the public, we will proceed in a manner to protect the public's health.

The general manager of the casino released a statement to KPLC saying that they received reports of a "stomach-related illness among a few guests and team members."
