LAKE CHARLES, La. — The final day of operations for the United Way of Southwest Louisiana’s Hurricane Laura relief distribution center will be held from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m., on Friday, Nov. 13.
Louisiana Healthcare Connections will recognize the United Way of Southwest Louisiana and Mayor Hunter on Friday for their leadership in the city’s recovery efforts.
Friday marks the last full day of operations for the region’s relief distribution center, where individuals affected by Hurricane Laura can receive hot meals, non-perishable foods, rebuilding supplies, furniture and other critical support services.
Up to 3,000 individuals are expected to receive services on the center’s final day of operation.
The distribution center is located at 2401 6th Street in Lake Charles and will be open on Friday from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
