The Lake Charles Police Department says they are currently investigating a homicide that occurred at the Valero Gas Station on Gerstner Memorial Drive.
Police say the incident took place on Tuesday, January 26, 2021, at approximately 10:30 pm.
“While information is limited at this time as we continue to investigate this incident, we can confirm that this incident is in no way related to the homicide that occurred at the nearby Walmart Supercenter on Saturday, January 23, 2021,” said Deputy Chief Franklin Fondel in a press release.
The department says that more information will be released once it is available.
