A Moss Bluff man was arrested Thursday on child pornography charges following a joint investigation by Louisiana State Police, the Louisiana Attorney General's Office, and Homeland Security.

Troopers say 21-year-old Jack Alvin Richard was arrested for downloading and distribution of pornography involving juveniles.

According to State Police, an investigation revealed that Richard was allegedly downloading and distributing photographs and videos of child pornography.

After a review of the evidence, State Police say investigators determined that Richard was in possession of images and videos of child sex abuse.

During questioning, Richard allegedly admitted to knowingly downloading and distributing the images and videos.

He was booked into the Calcasieu Parish Correctional Center on a warrant charging him with 144 counts of possession of pornography involving juveniles.

His bond was set at $250,000.00

Anyone with information on crimes relating to child pornography is encouraged to contact the Louisiana State Police at 1-800-434-8007.
