Two firefighters in Lake Charles received minor injuries after an oxygen take exploded during a firefighting operation.
The Lake Charles Fire Department says that Monday morning December 7, crews were dispatched to a house fire. Upon arrival, firefighters found smoke and flames coming from a mobile home. A person was reportedly trapped inside.
Firefighters gained access to the home and a search found no one inside. Officials say the missing person had already evacuated.
During firefighting operations, an oxygen cylinder exploded injuring two firefighters. Both were transported to the hospital with minor injuries and released.
